Papers and Photographs 1917-1919.

Photographs, postcards, and manuscripts depicting Raymond A Wilkinson's experience while serving in the supply company of the 121st Field Artillery during World War I. The photographs and postcards include images of Raymond and his fellow soldiers at Camp MacArthur in Waco, Texas and on the U.S.S. Kansas during his return journey from the war. Manuscript materials include a pass allowing a member of the 127th Infantry Band to travel around Coblenz, Germany, and a typed document describing the voyage of the U.S.S. Leviathan from Hoboken, New Jersey to Liverpool, England. Wilkinson enlisted in the Wisconsin National Guard in 1917 and was assigned to the 121st Field Artillery. During the war he served in France and in 1919 he was transferred to the 147th Field Artillery shortly before receiving an honorable discharge. After the war, Wilkinson returned to New London, Wisconsin and is buried in Bovina Cemetery in Outagamie.
